This is an ongoing ship project and my first real attempt at a higher-poly spaceship. The XR-71 has been through numerous design revisions for realism and detail, and the ship is meant for both space and atmospheric flight—with limited glide capability.
The design is future-retro with some sharklike influences guiding the aesthetic and coloration. The interior is early work-in-progress and I plan to revisit the landing pad as well (with a hangar). These shots were all rendered with V-RAY 5 IPR GPU rendering on an NVIDIA 3090. Maps are from Substance Painter.
